About

Dustin Hargadine grew up on farms in small towns across Missouri.  He later moved to St. Louis and where he was first introduced to competitive sports.  From middle school through college he excelled in football, baseball, basketball, and track and field — always dreaming of becoming a professional athlete.

In 2002 Dustin led his high school to the sate football championship and had become the star quarterback every college wanted. It appeared his dream of becoming a professional athlete was in his reach.  Unfortunately Dustin’s dream started to unravel as one injury after another led to numerous doctor visits and further injury.

After visiting a medical doctor the usual painkillers were prescribed to mask the pain. Playing through the pain produced further injury that eventually resulted in four surgeries. Dustin’s goal of a professional sports career had come to an end. Worse the surgeries left him weak and unable to participate in sports even as a hobby.

Not one to let discouragement keep him down, Dustin decided what he was going to do. He decided he’d learn everything he could about being healthy and staying healthy. And this time he was going to take care of his body. It wasn’t long before he was back exercising on a daily basis and competing again for the club baseball team at the University of Missouri.

His dramatic recovery led him to believe that surely there were alternatives to drugs and surgeries for sports related injuries.  Now he knew he wanted to be a doctor, one that could help others be as healthy as possible to prevent illness and injuries like the ones that plagued his sports career.

After high school graduation Dustin went on to the University of Missouri where he majored in biology in hopes of fulfilling his new dream! While there Dustin was intent on becoming a medical doctor.

However, his plans began to change once he realized that his medical studies had little to do with health and everything to do with disease. He wanted to do more than cover-up symptoms with drugs-he wanted to help his patients optimize their health through diet, nutrition and proper alignment.

With this philosophy in mind Dustin transferred to Logan College of Chiropractic and graduated soon after with a bachelor degree in life sciences and promptly started the Doctorate Program.  At this moment Dustin is a Chiropractic Intern at Logan College, a Nutritional Health Consultant, and has been consulting nutritionally with patients for the past two and a half years.  When Dustin finishes his residency he plans on opening a permanent clinic somewhere in the St. Louis area.
